MIMM #12 – Giving Thanks

I’m baaaack!!!! It was nice to have a break from the blog but boy, have I missed you all!  I want to thank Alysia, Arman, Becky, Jessie and Crista for helping me out with their guest posts while I was away – you’re all fabulous!!! I hope you enjoyed their posts as much as I did!

Oh, oh aaaand…I’m on vacation (more like a staycation) all week! Woooohoooo!!! Happy camper over here! :-) We don’t have any real plans for today; although, we might go to a matinee to see the new Thor movie. Yay!

Okay, one more thing before I get to today’s post…promise!  Starting today and running for 30 days, Swanson Healthcare Products is hosting a $100 shopping spree giveaway on 30 of your favorite blogs.  I’ll be participating in the giveaway (my first ever!!), so look out for it next month!  In the meantime, click HERE to get all the details and to check out which other blogs will be part in this amazing offer.

swansonblog30Anywho, it’s been waaaay too long since I linked up with MIMM, so I think it’s about time I join the party.  Thanks to Katie for hosting!

In general, we all have busy schedules and can easily take things for granted, so it’s important to take the time to reflect on those meaningful aspects in our lives.  Soooo…since Thanksgiving is literally right around the corner (side note…how the heck did it get here so quickly!?!) and since it’s MIMM, I thought today would be the perfect way to acknowledge and give thanks to all those marvelous people/things in my life.

I AM THANKFUL FOR…Justin. Literally, he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I couldn’t be more blessed to have him in my life.

IMG_0116I AM THANKFUL FOR…my family. They mean the world to me and spending time with them is the BEST.  I can’t wait to see them all in a few days!!! :-)

I AM THANKFUL FOR…my friends.  We’re all busy, so sometimes I don’t get to see them as often as I’d like but when we do see each other, we always have a blast and I make sure to cherish our time together.

I AM THANKFUL FORthe sun.  I absolutely LOVE the sun, especially during the summertime.  It has always  been such a comfort for me – I could literally sit outside all day and bask in its warmth and beauty.

Aug 10 2005 (27)I AM THANKFUL FOR…my health.  They are many out there who, unfortunately, are plagued with sickness or have other issues and I’m extremely grateful to have the ability to enjoy life with no real medical problems.

I AM THANKFUL FOR…the ability to exercise.  Exercise keeps me healthy physically, mentally and emotionally, and is a major part of my life.

I AM THANKFUL FOR…nature.  The beauty in this world is truly an amazing thing sometimes, and I’m often in awe of what surrounds me on a daily basis.

Nature CollageI AM THANKFUL FOR…peanut butter! Random…I know, but I had to throw it in! ;-) Chocolate PB, regular, creamy and crunchy – I don’t discriminate!

  3. My Monday is marvelous because it’s official my last day of class before thanksgiving break ! Three things I’m thankful for is my family even though we argue and don’t see eye to eye they are always there when I need them, my ability to exercise it is my me time keeps me sane and relieves all that school and work stress and my pets they always make me smile and put me in a good mood and even though they can’t talk I know they know how to cheer me up! And I’m so excited to try a new butternut squash with maple butter recipe I found off paleoomg 😍

  4. I love that you threw PB in there, and while I can’t really agree with you on that one (pesky allergies), AB is definitely something that I’m thankful to have in my life. And so is family, friends, health… you basically named off all the good ones :P

Happy Monday, lovely lady! No T-Day for us here in Canada, so I’ll be living vicariously through you guys!

  5. I wanna be on a staycation too. How did you get so lucky? What are you gonna do this week? Come visit me, perhaps? ;)

I can hire my dogsled team to pick you up at the airport and shuttle you over to my igloo. YES.

  6. I am thankful for my loved ones, including you! I don’t know what I would do without you guys! Thanks for being in my life and thanks again for asking me to guest post! Enjoy your staycation! Relax and have fun! You deserve it!

  7. I have to agree with the peanut butter addition ;-) I think you definitely covered all the good ones – family, friends, significant other, exercise…and of course, I’d throw the pug in there too ;-)

  8. I am thankful for my job, my family, and my boyfriend (in no particular order!). I am looking forward to having macaroni and cheese and green bean casserole for Thanksgiving dinner, in addition to everything else!

  9. Welcome back Holly! We have definitely missed you. How nice that you are on staycation all week! Those are the best. Typically around Christmas I can take two working days off and get nine total days of work off. It’s fantastic!

P.S. I am also thankful for peanut butter! :)

  10. Love how food items become things we are thankful for! I can certainly come up with a few favorites that I am thankful are available for me to enjoy…desserts :) !! What a beautiful and thought filling post!

  13. Lucky duck you’re on vacation all week! Enjoy it! I like this post and I was actually thinking about writing up a similar one tomorrow or Thursday. I guess a lot of people will probably be writing them but that’s ok they’re fun to read. I’m glad you included PB ;) Can’t forget the little things!!

  14. I love your list! I too and thankful for my husband and family. I’m also thankful for being healthy, happy, safe and warm and for the amazing things my body and mind can do!

  15. Okay Holly, you get waaaay too much time off work. ;) So jealous. Enjoy it! I love all of your pretty pictures! I am thankful for many of the same things: my family (which includes Brandon and Coco), my health, and almond butter (which is currently trumping peanut butter!).

  16. This is a grate gratitude list, and I hope you’ll come link up your post at my Gratitude Linky(it’s open for the rest of the month). =0)
